The Los Angeles Rams will be cheered on heavily tonight by oddsmakers across the country, who report taking a hefty amount of wagers on the opposing Baltimore Ravens.
The Rams (6-4, 3-2 home) welcome the visiting Ravens (8-2, 4-1 away) for tonight’s Monday Night Football. The game puts MVP frontrunner Lamar Jackson and his sizzling Baltimore team on the national stage once again, their last national telecast coming three weeks ago when they knocked-off the then-undefeated New England Patriots.
Baltimore hopes to win its seventh in a row. Oddsmakers hope they don’t.
MGM race and sports director Jeff Stoneback told ESPN’s David Purdum that tonight’s game “will be our biggest decision of the year.” Westgate SuperBook NFL oddsmakers Ed Salmons added, “We definitely have some exposure on Baltimore right now.”
MNF kickoff is set for 8:15 pm ET. The Rams are 3.5-point underdogs, and the over/under is at 46.5 points.

The Ravens’ QB is in only his first full year of starting under center in the NFL, but by all accounts, it appears Baltimore has found its franchise player for the foreseeable future. The 22-year-old is nearly single-handedly revolutionizing how NFL teams look at offensive football.
Through 10 games, Jackson has thrown for 2,258 yards with 19 touchdowns against just five interceptions. He’s also run for 788 yards with another six scores. Also, this season he became just the second player in NFL history to have multiple games with a perfect passer rating (158.3).
He’s certainly the MVP this year,” Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips said. “He’s a tremendous runner, but the other part of it is they’ve made a lot of explosive plays, not just in the running game. It gives me a headache. It’s a great challenge.”
As a result of his stellar play, Jackson is the heavy favorite to win the NFL regular season MVP award.
The FanDuel sportsbook has him at even money +100. Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson is next at +250, and Houston Texans QB Deshaun Watson a distant third at +800.
NFL Futures
The New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens are seemingly headed towards an AFC showdown. The Pats remain Super Bowl 54 favorites at +290, a $100 bet netting $290.
The Ravens are next at +470, and New Orleans Saints third at +500. Despite having the best record in the NFC at 10-1, the 49ers trail the Saints at +650.
On the other side of the spectrum, the Cincinnati Bengals managed to stay winless by losing 16-10 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bengals are now 0-11, and their line on going winless continues to shorten.
Prior to their 11th loss, FanDuel had the Bengals going 0-16 at Yes +400, No -600. That means the sportsbook still believes the team will sneak out a win this season.
Cincinnati has five chances left. They host the New York Jets (4-7), then play at Cleveland (5-6), vs. New England (10-1), at the Miami Dolphins (2-9), and at home against Cleveland.
