BetRivers Sportsbook clients will have something new to look forward to when placing same-game parlay (SGP) bets this NBA season as parent Rush Street Interactive today announced its new PropPacks offering.
PropPacks is a new digital game that BetRivers bettors can access when placing a minimum $10 wager on “qualifying” SGP offered by the sportsbook operator. At no charge, clients will receive as many as three PropPacks per game featuring at least one player from one or both of the teams involved in the games featured in the parlay.
If the relevant NBA players score over the point totals on the card, then our bettors win! There are props for 20+, 30+, 40+ and 50+ with higher prizes for each threshold,” according to a statement issued by the gaming company.
BetRivers’ PropPacks is a unique spin on a loyalty program and one that arguably represents the digital equivalent of opening a pack of basketball cards. In North America, the operator offers iGaming and/or sports wagering in Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia, as well as Ontario, Canada.
PropPacks Could Boost NBA Betting for RSI
After football, basketball is the next most wagered on sport in the US and with the 2024-25 NBA season having commenced just last week, the timing could be right for the launch of BetRivers’ PropPacks.
With interest in sports cards soaring, the gaming company could tap into that momentum by offering what could prove to be a superior iteration of previous efforts by rivals to link digital collectibles and sports wagering.
PropPacks features three tiers: Gold, silver, and bronze. Bronze cards are the most common while gold cards are the rarest and most valuable. Cards in the gold tier have the highest possible prizes and some come with a payout of $10,000 in bonus credits.
“The player card game makes watching the action even more exciting by offering bettors at all levels, from those placing a bet for the first time to experienced sports wagerers, more ways to win from existing SGP bets at no additional cost to our bettors,” said RSI CEO Richward Schwartz in the statement.
PropPacks Tapping Into SGP Craze
Parlays, which are also referred to as “accumulators” in markets outside the US, are popular among bettors and profitable for sportsbook operators, confirming that outcomes are divergent. SGPs, which have also long been popular outside the US, are turning into significant handle and revenue drivers for operators in this country.
In a hypothetical NBA SGP, a bettor could wager on the spread, total, quarter lines, and player propositions or some combination of those offerings. The wagers typically carry long odds, but that’s what tempts many bettors. Additionally, while most online sportsbooks offer SGPs constructed in-house, data indicate many bettors opt to build their own.
For its part, BetRivers is also tapping into SGP enthusiasm on college basketball, which starts in a few days.
“BetRivers Squares is back for another season and will be offered on all NCAA College Basketball games. Qualifying Same Game Parlay bets of $10 or more on a game earns the customer a square, at no extra charge, with a $25 wager resulting in two squares and a bet of $50 or more worth three squares,” said the operator in the press release.
