BetMGM Brings Las Vegas Live Dealer Casino Games to Alberta

BetMGM has launched live dealer casino games streamed directly from Las Vegas for players in Alberta, the iGaming operator announced.

Players can now access real-time blackjack, roulette, and baccarat hosted by professional dealers and broadcast directly from MGM Resorts International properties to their computer, tablet, or mobile device.

“Live dealer content continues to be one of the fastest-evolving categories in iGaming,” said Rob Passerino, director of gaming at BetMGM. “Live dealer bridges the gap between online gaming and the casino floor, creating a more immersive and engaging experience for players.”

The new lineup includes several live-streamed options:

Table Games: Vegas All Bets Blackjack Live, Vegas Roulette Live, and Vegas Baccarat Live.
Dedicated Tables: Four dedicated Vegas Live Blackjack streams.

Bridging Online and In-Person Play

BetMGM previously launched live-dealer casino games in Ontario in April 2022 when that province opened its regulated iGaming market.

Passerino noted that the company hopes the Las Vegas feed generates similar traction as Alberta expands its digital gaming landscape, allowing players to feel connected to the Strip regardless of where they log in.

“The real-time interaction with professional dealers and the ability to watch hands and spins unfold live adds a sense of authenticity that really resonates with players,” Passerino said.

Dual Play Expands Offering

The live-dealer content is streamed through MGM Resorts’ ongoing live casino partnership with software provider Playtech.

Beyond studio-hosted tables, Alberta players can also access “Dual Play” games broadcast directly from the floors of the Bellagio and MGM Grand. This feature allows online users to participate in the exact same game as on-property casino guests.

Dual Play offerings include MGM Grand Live American Roulette, MGM Grand Live Baccarat, and Bellagio Live Roulette.
