Gas Up, Cash In: Terrible’s Offers $100 in Free Play at Primm

Key Points

  • Terrible’s has introduced a fuel promotion matching half of gas purchases up to $100 in casino free play
  • The offer is valid at nine Chevron locations across Nevada and California within seven days of receipt issuance
  • The promotion follows Terrible’s mid-July takeover of Primm Valley Casino after former operator Affinity Gaming shut it down

Terrible’s Gaming, the new operator of Primm Valley Casino, has introduced a promotion that awards fuel purchases at its Terrible’s Chevron stations with free casino play. The offer provides guests with up to $100 in free play when they present a qualifying gas receipt at the casino cage.

Not a Terrible Idea

Under the promotion, good at nine participating stations in Nevada and California, customers are awarded half the value of their gas purchases, capped at $100, on one receipt in any rolling seven-day period.

The promotion targets drivers traveling the Southern California–Southern Nevada corridor, where Terrible’s operates a cluster of participating Chevron stations—two in Primm, two in Jean, three in Barstow, plus single locations in Nipton and Newport Beach—all eligible for the gas‑receipt offer.

“You needed gas anyway,” the company’s marketing frames the deal. “Might as well turn it into a little casino money.”

The promotion runs through 11:59 p.m. Oct. 31, 2026. Guests receive their redemptions at Primm Valley’s Player Services window.

Gas From the Past

Terrible’s Hotel & Casino on Paradise Road—the old Continental that today is the Silver Sevens—once offered the reverse promotion: $5 in free gas for every 1,000 slot points, up to $15, in 2006. That was the same year that Circus Circus handed out $25 gas cards with two-night web bookings, and the Primm properties added gas vouchers to room offers.

Such promotions turn a necessary road-trip expense into a direct hook to get motorists off the highway and onto the casino floor.

The rollout comes three months after Terrible’s assumed control of Primm Valley Casino on July 5, 2026, following a 17‑day shutdown by former operator Affinity Gaming, which exited the market amid financial losses.

Terrible’s reopened Primm Valley at noon on July 22. Affinity had already closed Whiskey Pete’s in December 2024, and Buffalo Bill’s in July 2025. Terrible’s, which has not reopened those two, has pledged to stabilize operations and restore activity at the border town’s remaining casino property.
