Two Las Vegas casinos had big winners in the last couple of weeks. One was Caesars Palace Las Vegas, which once again paid out a jackpot to a lucky player.
On January 22, a player hit a $125,000 jackpot after wagering $100 on a slot machine.
Last Saturday, Las Vegas’s Rampart Casino play also got lucky after winning a $17,823 jackpot. The Las Vegas resident was identified only as “Ashur.” The jackpot was hit after he bet $7.50. He later posed for a photo in front of the gaming machine following the win.
Congratulatins to lucky local Ashur on winning this $17,823 jackpot on a $7.50 bet this past Saturday! Scorchin’ Hot Win
On January 25, a player won $103,201 at Filotimo Casino, located in Dover, N.H., The jackpot was hit on a new Scorchin’ Hot Ruby machine.
The winner, identified only as “Ralph,” is a resident of Elliot, Maine. Ralph won the money after placing a $3 wager. He revealed he will use some of the money to pay off his son’s college loans.
Filotimo Casino is one of several charitable casinos located in New Hampshire. More are proposed. Charitable casinos require 35% of gross revenue from the gaming property to be donated to approved charities every 10 days.
Mississippi Jackpot
A player at Mississippi’s Harrah’s Gulf Coast won a massive $842,622 jackpot on New Year’s Day on a progressive jackpot, the gaming property announced recently. The win was the largest table game payout ever at the Biloxi venue.
It was won on a $5 bet for an Ultimate Texas Hold‘em game. The player frequently plays that game. The winner was identified only as “Keyla D.” She lives in Mobile, Ala. She plans to use some of the money to take a vacation and wants to use some to help others.
Protect Yourself, Winnings
Casino.org reported earlier this month that several casino security professionals urged lucky players to protect themselves and their winnings.
If you do find yourself with a large win, protect yourself by asking for a check instead of cash for winnings. If you’re staying at the casino’s hotel, temporarily store winnings in the cashier’s cage or a hotel safety deposit box. Winnings also should be placed in a financial institution, such as a bank, as soon as possible.
If you win a jackpot, you can also use the casino’s security offerings as part of the safeguards, such as having a guard walk you to your car or hotel room.
