A Las Vegas man was arrested this week for getting a fentanyl addict to work as a prostitute by regularly giving her the dangerous drug, authorities said.

Jezmyn Hays provided the homeless woman a hotel room and kept on giving her fentanyl in exchange for her doing sex work, police said.

The illegal drug was “the main control tactic Hays used to make her go to work,” according to a police report quoted by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Hays took all of the money the woman earned from sex work and regularly threatened her with violence, police said.

He also posted “seductive photographs” of the woman online to encourage customers to pay for sex, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD).

The woman’s allegations were revealed to police during an undercover operation.

No word on what happened to the woman after speaking to police. Often, women engaged in sex work are given counseling by social service agencies.

Hays was arrested on Monday for pandering. He was already in the Clark County Detention Center on a prior charge.

Previously, Hays was convicted in California for pandering and working as a pimp, the Review-Journal reported.

Hays also was charged with keeping an exotic animal without a permit after officers discovered a monkey in a cage at his residence, police said.

Hays had posted a photo on Instagram of him walking with the monkey on Las Vegas Boulevard, the Review-Journal reported.

The monkey was placed in an animal control shelter.

Ulysses Grant Charged With Murder

An elderly man, whose name is Ulysses S. Grant, just like the former U.S. president, was apprehended this week for allegedly fatally stabbing his Las Vegas neighbor.

The murder took place on Tuesday after Grant, 76, and his neighbor got into a dispute over loud music at a downtown apartment complex, according to Las Vegas TV station KLAS.

The victim was identified as Marcus Johnson. He was stabbed in the “upper torso,” police said. His neck and stomach were covered in blood following the slashing, according to the Review-Journal. Johnson died at the scene.

When speaking to officers, Grant confessed he “whooped” the victim, but he never intended for him to be injured or to die, according to the news report.

“I cut the mother [expletive] up,” Grant yelled after the deadly incident, police revealed.

After the stabbing, the dying Johnson asked Grant, “What did you do to me,” witnesses told police.

Initially, Grant went to Johnson’s apartment to complain about loud music.

After an argument, Grant went back to his own apartment to fetch a knife. He returned to Johnson’s apartment where he allegedly stabbed him.

Previously, the two had argued about beer.

Grant told officers he was sorry for the death.

He’s charged with open murder with a deadly weapon and burglary while in possession of a deadly weapon.

Grant remained in the Clark County Detention Center as of Friday. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. If convicted, he could face a lengthy prison sentence.
