Oprah Winfrey Announced to Headline New Las Vegas Sphere Experience

Oprah Winfrey will bring a new multisensory experience to Sphere in Las Vegas for a limited three-night run April 2-4, 2027.

Titled “Oprah Winfrey’s AHA,” the production will combine storytelling and music in one of the venue’s most ambitious non-residency bookings to date.

The project grew out of Winfrey’s reaction to U2’s opening-night performance at Sphere in September 2023, where she found herself captivated by the venue’s technological capabilities.

As she explained in the announcement: “‘AHA’ is a dream that came to me as I sat… mesmerized by the possibilities of how the space could be used as a tool for creating greater awareness and understanding of ourselves and our connection to each other”.

That spark evolved into a two-hour production blending live performance, original music, and large-scale visual design. Organizers describe the event as a “journey of light, sound, music and storytelling,” designed to guide audiences toward what Winfrey calls an “A-ha moment”.

Sphere’s signature technology will be central to the experience. The venue’s wraparound LED display and immersive audio system will envelop audiences in a high-definition visual and acoustic environment.

Winfrey, 72, frames the project as part of a final creative decade driven by urgency, purpose, and a desire to help audiences “see themselves differently”.

“Creating this experience has felt like the culmination of what I’ve spoken about and worked towards my entire life,” she said in the statement.

Creative Team and Collaborators

Winfrey will appear live on stage throughout the four scheduled performances, joined by a multidisciplinary lineup of collaborators. Confirmed live performers include seven-time Grammy winner Jacob Collier, acclaimed poet Ocean Vuong, musician Ajeet, and gospel singer Wintley Phipps.

Musical direction is led by Oscar-nominated composer Max Richter, Grammy-winning vocal director Jason White, and electronic artist Jon Hopkins, with each contributing original compositions tailored to Sphere’s spatial audio setup.

The narrative and visual creative teams feature Oscar-winning writer Tarell Alvin McCraney (Moonlight), stage designer Es Devlin (Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour), and original works from the Plum Village Monks.

Director Ethan Tobman and Emmy-winning producer Baz Halpin of Silent House Group are overseeing the master production.
