After announcing a fall run at the Sphere last week, the Eagles have added four Nov. shows to its upcoming residency, bringing the total to 12. The full itinerary is now September 20, 21, 27, and 28; October 11, 12, 18, and 19; and November 1, 2, 8, and 9.
As with the previous announcement, tickets — starting at $175 including taxes and fees — go on sale at 10 a.m. PT Friday, June 21 via eagles.com. A Live Nation presale starts at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 20.
“The Sphere residency will offer fans the ultimate connection to the band’s legendary catalog in an immersive experience that only Sphere can provide,” according to a Sphere press release.
In related news, the mostly reunited band’s performance itself may be an act of immersion — to backup vocal recordings. A YouTuber recently posted what he claims is irrefutable video proof that band members lip-sync their high backing harmonies.
Surprising Show of Hans
Film composer Hans Zimmer has added a second, much bigger Las Vegas concert stop to his first tour in seven years: October 12 at the 20,000-seat T-Mobile Arena.
This show, the tour’s final stop, will follow Zimmer’s September 29 performance at the Resorts World Theatre, which holds only 4,700. That show’s speedy sellout took concert promoters by surprise. Extra shows were also added to the tour’s Oakland and LA stops.
“I’m so excited audiences in the entertainment capital of the world Las Vegas will get a second chance to see us,” Zimmer said in a statement. “Get ready to be blown away!”
Zimmer, who will be backed by an 18-piece band and full orchestra, is best known for his scores for movies including “The Lion King” (for which he won a 1995 Oscar), “Dune” (for which he added a 2022 Oscar), and “Gladiator.”
Tickets for Zimmer’s T-Mobile date go on sale at 10 a.m. PT via hanszimmerlive.com.
