Folklore has it that some have been endowed with “THE GIFT”. It has been described as a brief look into the future, or a second sight. Occurring at random, it is unpredictable in both frequency and duration. Some believe that I have been blessed (or cursed) with THE GIFT, as was my Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother before me.
From my early age of 6, my mother predicted that I would one day fall a great distance. She cautioned me to keep my body loose, and do not “tense up” as that would result in shattering many bones in my body. At the age of 19, while serving in the Navy, I fell 48 feet. During the fall I recalled my mother’s repeated warnings, “DON’T TENSE UP”. As a result, I am alive today.
