My hands-on impressions of Jackpot City Casino
Lewis Crane, Content Editor - updated December 1st 2024
Entering the gaming scene in 1998, Jackpot City is one of the oldest online casino brands in the UK. For a solid week, I made it my mission to find out if the longevity of this brand was justified and, with 100s of casino brands available online now, if it still stood up against the current landscape of online sites.
In short, what I found with Jackpot City was a solid selection of over 700+ games including 450+ top slots from a great selection of top-hitting providers like Blueprint, Games Global and Pragmatic Play. The casino also offered an exceptional app experience on my iPhone 15 with well-optimised games and great site navigation that let me find all of the games I wanted in seconds.
Check out my full review of Jackpot City below including my full expert impressions of their gaming library, bonuses for new and existing players, as well as a full deep dive on their mobile compatibility below:
❤️ What I loved
- Good selection of 450+ slots titles from top studios like Games Global & Pragmatic Play
- Welcome offer includes 100 free spins on Gold Blitz; a 2023 fan-favourite that is touted to be Games Global's most successful title according to EGR research
- Highly-rated iOS app more favourably reviewed than industry standard; 4.4 on over 10,000 downloads
- Great site navigation allowing you to filter by game types, jackpot functionality and game provider
- Exclusive 'Must-Win" jackpot games with 37+ dedicated games
- Great variety of products on offer including slots, live casino, Instant Win, Crash and RNG table games; all available on the casino's app
❤️🩹 Where they could improve
- Higher than average bonus wagering requirements at 50x; 35x-40x is standard in the UK
- Missing some key UK providers in their catalogue including Play'n Go, Relax and any of the Evolution-affiliated studios like Netent and Red Tiger
- Live casino offerings could be expanded as they only have 6 blackjack games and 8 roulette games

Bonuses & welcome offer - what you can expect
When it comes to the offers available in the UK market, Jackpot City offers a very competitive welcome bonus that is great for slots fans like myself. On the surface, you have a pretty standard 100% match bonus up to £100 offered by other brands like Pub Casino and All British with slightly higher wagering requirements attached at 50x compared to the 40x showcased by Pub. What sets this bonus apart is the 100 free spins included on the Gold Blitz slot from Fortune Factory Studios that has taken the slots world by storm since its release in 2022.
My bonus impressions
❤️ What makes the bonus great
- The 100% match bonus is super accessible for any level of casino players
- 100% wagering contribution for slots and Instant Win games like Scratchcards; Instant Wins not always eligible towards wagering
- Decent selection of daily existing player promotions including daily free spins & tournaments
- 100 free spins eligible on a popular new release; higher than average amount of spins & more up-to-date release than the likes of Big Bass Bonanza or Starburst
- Free spins have no-wagering meaning any value won is yours to keep & withdraw
❤️🩹 What holds the bonus back
- The 50x wagering requirements are higher than the UK average
- Bonus only appeals to slots players with no real incentives for live casino players
- Only way to claim the free spins is by wagering £20 on other Games Global titles
- Bonus is not eligible with e-wallets like Paypal or Skrill; debit card is the only way to claim the offer
Jackpot City's welcome offer - a quick snapshot
What you're looking for | What they offer |
---|---|
Match bonus | 100% up to £100 |
Free spins | 100 no-wagering free spins on Gold Blitz (valued at £10 total) |
Wagering requirements | 50x |
Offer valid for | 7 days |
Game wagering contributions | Slots & Instant Win (100%), live casino games (8%), RNG table games (0%) |
Additional bonus details | £20 in wagers on Games Global slots required to claim free spins bonus |
Existing player promotions | Daily slots tournaments, random daily prize drops, roulette prize leaderboards, daily free spins offer |
My overall bonus impressions
Overall, I would say that the bonus on offer from Jackpot City is a solid option for new players with a few drawbacks that hold it back from being an undeniable recommendation.
The good news is that the welcome bonus itself stands up well against a lot of other top offers on the market. The 100% match bonus up to £100 is a UK favourite for a reason and Jackpot City's is easy to understand and seamless to redeem. The 100 free spins is also a welcome treat as it separates the casino from offering the same bonus as the likes of Pub and All British.
However, the bonus is let down by its higher than UK standard wagering requirements and the restrictions on e-wallet payment methods. As a player who loves the convenience and extra security of depositing with my Skrill account, it's a shame that doing so restricts me from enjoying the full experience when other top casinos, like Grand Ivy, allow me to redeem bonuses from a number of e-wallets without any compromises on bonus eligibility.
Offers for existing players
Once you've redeemed your welcome offer, the fun doesn't stop there as Jackpot City offers a plethora of existing player promotions to incentivise you to keep playing. These existing player promotions include daily tournaments, additional free spins offers and daily cash drops that can pop randomly at any time.
The existing player offers at Jackpot City are fairly standard with Pragmatic Play doing a lot of the heavy lifting with their network-wide 'Drops n Wins' mechanic available on a number of other top UK sites. A particular highlight of the casino's existing player promotions is the 10 daily free spins on Mega Money Wheel with the chance to win up to £1,000,000 I've not found on other top sites.
Outside of the aforementioned, however, Jackpot City doesn't offer a ton of additional promotions for existing players. It would've been nice to see any cashback offers, as offered by other sites like Magic Red or Neptune Play on their live casino titles, to really give players reason to interact with their live casino offerings.
I dove into all of the available promotions in the first week of November 2024 and played around with the following player offers:
- Pragmatic Play Drops n Wins daily jackpot tournaments with up to £5,000 to be won every day
- Additional Pragmatic Play random cash drops with up to £30,000 to be won every day
- Daily no-deposit promotion giving you 10 free spins on Mega Money Wheel & a chance to win £1,000,000
- Lucky 6 live roulette tournament with daily cash drops and up to £1,000,000 to be won
“Make sure you opt-in to Jackpot City's mailing list when you sign up as a majority of online sites will send their best offers via email. This can include exclusive free spins promotions, seasonal bonuses or chances to win extra prizes that won't be available to standard casino players.”
Games library - 750+ casino games including exclusive jackpot titles
While Jackpot City doesn't offer the biggest library of games around, what they do offer is a quality selection of 750+ games from a curated list of top software providers. Jackpot City isn't hitting the gargantuan 2,000+ libraries of a Pub Casino or All British but there's definitely something to be said for a casino that knows how to pick the best of the bunch for its players and present a consistently high quality of games on offer while working with such a varied mix of studios.
How I found the games
❤️ What the highlights were
- 450+ online slots with top titles from over 12+ providers
- Extensive 'New Games' tab with titles added regularly
- All games taken at their highest available RTP value (95-96% on average)
- Exclusive 'Must-Win' jackpot games with daily jackpots guaranteed to drop at 11pm
- Offers a great variety of different products including slots, live casino, scratchcards, crash games & RNG table games
❤️🩹 What could be improved
- Only 12 gaming providers compared to other sites that have 20+; main studios missing include Relax, Play'n Go, Netent & Red Tiger
- Small offering of live casino games despite having 4 live casino providers; especially low on blackjack and original game show titles

The slots experience - where Jackpot City shine 🌟
One of the biggest pros of Jackpot City's offering of games is the 450+ slots available from 12 of the top gaming providers like Blueprint and Games Global.
The pros - When interacting with the slots on Jackpot City, the site navigation was an absolute treat. The ability to search for games by provider, type, and mechanics like Link & Win, made it easy to find a great selection of games; both new and old. The quality on offer here was also super dense as I tested over 30 games at a £1 stake and found plenty to enjoy with titles taken at their highest RTP levels to give you the highest chance to win.
The cons - In terms of improvement, while the curated nature of the library is definitely refreshing, having more games would help to keep Jackpot City competitive with the current market. Most online casinos in the UK over 1,000+ titles including Pub Casino which offers 1,200+ dedicated slot titles alone in its 2,000+ portfolio of games from a wider variety of providers (25+).
🔍 My tip for slots: If you're not sure where to start, Jackpot City offers a 'Top 20 Slots' tab that updates regularly based on what their players are spinning the most. It's loaded with some expected classics as well as titles I'd never played before including Wings of Horus from Hacksaw Gaming.
Live casino offerings 🎥
As well as the 450+ slots offered at Jackpot City, the casino also house a range of 40+ live casino games covering all bases including table games like blackjack, poker, roulette, as well as original game show and even some live dealer slots.
The pros - Much like with slots, Jackpot City's strength is the live games on offer with a cherry-picked collection from the 4 biggest live providers in the market (Evolution, Pragmatic Play, OnAir & Playtech). The lobby houses all of the biggest table and game show titles and everything tested ran wonderfully on both mobile and desktop with HD-quality video and no buffering; even when using mobile data.
The cons - Room for improvement is, once again, heavily centred around just wanting more. Evolution in particular have an extensive library of titles on offer and to see some of my favourites original game show titles missing, like Gonzo's Treasure Map or Chilli Heat Extra Spins, feels like a missed opportunity when the provider is already readily available.
🔍 My tip for live casino: Jackpot City offers a dedicated live casino promotion around Lucky 6 Roulette that can award random prize drops of up to £1,000,000. Roulette players should make the most of this to add some extra fun (and potential prizes) to their live roulette play.
The best of the rest ♠️
Those looking for something a little different have plenty of options with 200+ additional games covering Slingo, Instant Win Scratchcards, Provably Fair Crash games, as well as a good range of RNG table games like roulette and blackjack.
The pros - Outside of slots, this might be the strongest aspect of Jackpot City with nearly everything you could imagine to play with. Over 48+ Slingo titles, 50+ table casino games, as well as Crash game favourites like Aviator meant there were was more to play with than other sites like Betway, Grand Ivy, or even All British.
The cons - The only big downside of Jackpot City's RNG titles is how it contributes towards your bonus. Compared to the 10% offered by sites like 888 Casino, Jackpot City only offers 8% wagering contribution on most of their RNG table games; lowering the incentive to interact with them.
🔍 My tip for parlour games: Avoid Crash games if you're looking to meet your wagering requirements as they all contribute 0%. Titles like Plinko and Scratchcard games have a 100% contribution and should be prioritised if you're looking to meet your wagering.
“While it's easy to look at 750 compared to 2,000 and conclude that one is objectively better; that isn't always the case. The biggest takeaway from my time with the gaming lobby at Jackpot City was that a consistently enjoyable experience will always trump sheer variety any day. I've played 100s of slots in my 3+ years in the casino industry and to find a selection this densely packed with quality tells me that the Jackpot City team understands the #1 priority of playing games; to have fun”.
Deposit & withdrawal methods - super-fast but lacking in variety
Jackpot City offers a serviceable 5 payment methods, covering debit card options like Visa & Mastercard as well as a decent selection of e-wallet solutions like Neteller, Paypal & Skrill. I deposited a total of £50 across a variety of available methods and found the deposit & withdrawal experience to be swift and without any fuss; seeing my winnings in my Skrill account within 24 hours. Disappointingly, quite a number of payment methods are missing including prepaid cards like Paysafecard as well as any kind of mobile wallet solutions like Apple Pay; offered by other sites like 888 and Betway casino.
My payment rating
❤️ Where they excelled
- 5 payment methods including a great variety of e-wallets like Neteller & Skrill
- Deposits & withdrawals available with Paypal; not offered by a majority of casino sites
- Deposits processed in under 24 hours including instant e-wallet deposits
- Allows you to set optional daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits during sign-up
- Withdrawals processed in 1-3 business days; much faster than other top casino sites that can take up to 6 days for debit cards
❤️🩹 Room for improvement
- Only 5 deposit & withdrawal options; missing prepaid cards & mobile pay wallets like Apple Pay
- Only debit card is eligible for welcome bonus as deposit method
- No option to pay by phone bill; offered from the likes of Duelz Casino
How to deposit at Jackpot City
Depositing at Jackpot City is simple and easy to do. Follow the same steps I did and you'll be spinning in no time:
Log in or register for an account on Jackpot City
Once completed, tap the 'Deposit' button at the top right corner of the lobby,
Select your preferred payment option from the list of options,
Fill in the relevant information (bank details, Paypal email etc.) and confirm your deposit value,
Now that you've deposited, it's time to play your favourite games,
Minimum deposits & withdrawal times
The minimum deposit available is £10 across all 5 payment methods which is standard in the UK. E-wallet solutions were the fastest on withdrawal with all of my payments processed in less than 24 hours.
Bank transfers took slightly longer at 2 days; which is still faster than the experience customers are having on other sites like Magic Red that take up to 5 days to process.
Payment method | Minimum deposit | Processing time |
---|---|---|
Visa / Mastercard | £10 | 1-3 days |
Paypal | £10 | 24 hours |
Skrill | £10 | 24 horas |
Neteller | £10 | 24 hours |
Rapid Transfer | £10 | 24 hours |
"Remember that not every payment method is applicable for a casino bonus. At Jackpot City, make sure you use a debit card as your initial deposit method or you could miss out on claiming their 100% match welcome bonus when you sign up."
Security & licensing - an impressive selection of tools
Safety and security is the highest priority when playing on any online site and Jackpot City excel in this category. As well as hosting all of the expected criteria in terms of UKGC regulation and eCORGA fairness checks, Jackpot City offers an exceptional selection of safer gambling tools as well as plenty of helpful links to keep you in control of your gambling. The addition of a GAMstop hotline as well as dedicated Live Chat for safe gambling queries shows that Jackpot City is top of the line when it comes to player safety and gaming security.
My safety rating
❤️ Where they excel
- Regulated by United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC) for full regulation in the UK market
- Games independently checked by eCORGA to ensure game fairness and safety
- Useful links to Gamstop hotlines & tons of internal safer gambling exclusion tools
- Owned and internally monitored by the Super Group brand which houses over 18+ online gaming & casino sites in its portfolio
❤️🩹 Room for improvement
- Some user reports of slow implementation of safe gambling tools like account closures
The #1 most safety-conscious casino on the market
While evaluating the safety and security of Jackpot City, it was a real struggle to find any downsides or negatives to what they offer and testing every aspect was met with an exceptional level of diligence, convenience, and knowledge from the customer service team I conversed with over Live Chat.
In terms of the safer gambling tools on offer, Jackpot City offers an extensive range of limits including deposit limits, session time limits, as well as full account break periods that are all easily accessed from the 'My Account' settings. The casino's dedicated Help and Support page also gives you plenty of ways to monitor your play & spending including tips on self assessments and the tools on offer to help you out. The inclusion of multiple GAMstop hotlines at the bottom of the lobby is a particular positive as it gives you easy to access to a number of independent gambling care organisations to help with a variety of issues you may be having.
Overall, Jackpot City offers one of the most impressive and diligent gambling safety setup on the market. The level of care, especially in a heavily regulated market, is testament to their knowledge of good gambling practices as well as their dedication to keeping their players safe.
Live chat available 13 hours a day, but lacking in much else
The customer service offered by Jackpot City is adequate for fulfilling most of the queries you might have on your journey. Their Live Chat service (which runs from 09:00-00:00 daily) was fairly helpful and assisted in queries I had around withdrawals, player bonuses and a variety of game-related questions. It's disappointing to not find any kind of advertised phone support for that human touch and the lack of an email service can sometimes make it difficult to keep track of conversations when queries are taking longer than expected. Both of these are offered by other casinos like Pub and Neptune Play with the added bonus of the former's live chat running 24/7.
My customer service score
❤️ What I loved
- Live Chat available daily from 09:00-00:00 with quick response times
- Extensive help guides covering all common queries with solutions and extra information
- Staff were friendly and informative with most solutions discovered in under 10 minutes
❤️🩹 The drawbacks
- Other casinos offer 24 hour Live Chat service as opposed to Jackpot City's 13 hours like Pub Casino
- No phone service available; offered by Grand Ivy & Betway
- Some reports of slow response times or disconnected Live Chats from users
Putting the customer service to the test
I asked a number of my fellow reviewers at casino.org to help put Jackpot City's customer service speeds to the test and make sure they provide a consistent experience across the board. Each of us made a variety of queries around bonuses, games, and general account information for an even spread of the response times offered by the Live Chat service.
Channel & query | Lewis | Adam | Ian | William | UK average response time |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Live Chat - games | 6 minutes | 4 minutes | 8 minutes | 9 minutes | 15 minutes |
Live Chat - bonuses | 4 minutes | 4 minutes | 5 minutes | 6 minutes | 10 minutes |
Live Chat - account settings | 7 minutes | 6 minutes | 8 minutes | 5 minutes | 20 minutes |
The results found that most queries were answered on the Live Chat in 5-10 minutes with queries related to bonuses having the quickest response times. Each person tested the Live Chat around 11:00-17:00 to test response times during some of the busiest periods during the day. Responses were satisfactory, friendly, and had us back to enjoying the site in minutes; making the Live Chat a speedy option compared to the slower response times from other casinos that can take up to 48 hours to respond.
Does Jackpot City offer the best casino app around?
Jackpot City offers a stellar app experience that ran amazingly on my iPhone device. The app was a quick download of 200MB and completing the deposit and sign-up process was as convenient as when tested on the browser version. A big highlight is that the entire 450+ selection of games is intact on the app and all ran smoothly in both portrait and landscape play modes. At the time of this review, I couldn't find an equivalent Android version of the app which is hugely disappointing as someone who generally uses a Google Pixel as my primary mobile device.
My app rating
❤️ What I loved
- 200MB download - slightly lower than the standard 250MB of most casino apps
- Rated 4.5 on the App store - one of the highest ratings around
- Excellent app optimisation with plenty of lobby filters to find your favourite games
- Complete selection of slots and live casino games with new titles added weekly
❤️🩹 Where to improve
- Some user reports of app glitching and games disconnecting during sessions
- Couldn't find an equivalent app for Android
Comparing app vs browser
I took the time to test on both the dedicated iOS app and the browser version to see how they stacked up with the following results:
On the app - games were optimised slightly better for the screen size I was playing on. Load times were quick and the transition from portrait to landscape mode was seamless. Live casino games held up just as well with little in the way of buffering or loading for the HD-quality videos. Site navigation was also fantastic with a variety of tappable filters and categories to find specific games or game types in seconds.
On browser - Load times were slightly longer when loading up games and the screen orientation took a little more time to adjust when swapping between portrait and landscape mode. Screen functionality was also slightly slower with times similar to when I tested the site on my desktop computer.
Overall, the app is the better choice for iOS users due to its increases optimisation for the device and how smoothly it runs when using the site. Browser is a great choice for Android users but I hope we'll see an Android counterpart hitting the Google Playstore in the near future.
Editor's note - Android app not available as of December
"While playing on a browser is a perfectly comfortable way to play on Jackpot City, dedicated apps are always worth checking out. This is because they are better optimised for your mobile device including screen size, filter options, and touch screen capabilities. Play on tablet to upgrade the experience with higher quality audio and a bigger screen for the ultimate way to play."
Registration in under 2 minutes and plenty of filter options
The site functionality available from Jackpot City was a treat to play around with at every step of the way. Registration was quick and easy to complete with my verification completed within 24 hours and my bonus redeemed. The site navigation was also one of the easiest I've tested with plenty of filter options to search for games by type, provider, jackpot functionality, and even mechanics like Cash Collect. This is quite possibly one of the best parts of my time with Jackpot City and is accessible to casino players of any level.
❤️ What I loved
- Registration in 2-3 minutes
- Quick identity verification (1-2 days when tested)
- Gaming load times were 0.5-1 second (1-2 seconds average in UK)
- Plenty of filter options to find game types, providers, and specific titles
- Plenty options of recommended games including 'Top 20' and 'New Games'
❤️🩹 Room for improvement
- Separate page loading for Help & Support outside of app

"One of my favourite casino apps I have ever used. Registration and verification process is simple and straight to the point, can be completed in minutes after signing up."
“Love the place! Great games, easy to navigate, payouts are quick and never a problem. it's one off the top casinos in my book. 4/5 ⭐"
My conclusion on Jackpot City - safe, convenient, and easy for any level of player
After 2 weeks of rigorous testing and playing around with every aspect of Jackpot City, I can definitely give it a solid recommendation.
Some of my top highlights across the board were the highly curated selection of games on offer including the 450+ slots and exclusive jackpot titles. The iOS app available was also a major treat to play with and has more than earned its higher than average review scores on the App store. The customer experience and dedication to safe gambling is also a major highlight; showcasing not only the knowledge that the brand has developed over the last 20+ years but the high level of training given to their customer service reps.
What keeps it from being a 5/5 for me is the small roster of games on offer with just 700+ compared to the 1,000+ that's become industry standard. The limited payment methods are also a drawback; especially for those looking to take advantage of the welcome offer. It would also be nice to see an equivalent app available for Android devices in the UK to give users like me a more comprehensive experience.
While Jackpot City doesn't offer the most definitive range of casino services like the 2,000+ games found at Pub Casino or the 7 payment methods of All British Casino, what is on offer is stellar. Quality will always be Jackpot City's strongest trait and the curated selection of games, exceptional iOS app experience, and their dedicated to safe gambling make them an easy recommendation for players of any casino ability level.
The story of Jackpot City is an interesting one and, since 1998, they've done a lot to grow in the online casino space. Check out some of the highlights below including how they've grown over the years and the awards picked up along the way to reaching 3.5 million players worldwide.
