New Topless Show, “Rouge,” To Open at The Strat

A new show strictly for grown-ups, “Rouge,” opens at The Strat on April 16, 2022.

“Rouge” isn’t just a show, according to a news release, “It’s a journey of seduction and adult adventure designed to unleash one’s fantasies mixed with some extreme humor.”

We are big fan of toplessness and extreme humor, so “Rouge” has our attention.

Just trying to ease you into the full cast photo.

“Rouge” comes from the producer of “Wow” at Rio and “Extravaganza” at Bally’s, Hanoch Rosenn.

The show announcement continues, “The provocative cast of 18 stunningly gorgeous topless women and men will stimulate your senses, as well as please and tease your inner voyeur.”

About which we don’t know how to feel, honestly.

We get topless female revues like “Fantasy” and “X Burlesque.” We also get male revues like Chippendales and Thunder From Down Under.

We don’t easily grasp revues with both dudes and ladies so much.

Let’s break it down using the promotional photo from “Rouge.”

It’s like being alternatively drenched in liquid Viagra and ice water.

Here’s what happened with us when viewing the photo from left to right: “Yes, no, hello, out, hi, WTF, Nomi!, go, wow, howdy, hawt, meh, sup, please, schwing, porn stache, goodness, damn.”

At first glance, “Rouge” appears to be a roller coaster of emotion.

If the show’s for dudes, dudes sort of ruin the mojo. If it’s for women, are these guys hunky enough? All due respect.

Admittedly, we are old-fashioned and like knowing what we’re getting into when we attend a topless show. Y’know, this.

This is our topless revue comfort zone. “Rouge” may require some compartmentalization.

It’s also worth mentioning we were really, really wrong about the longevity of “Wow” and “Extravaganza,” so it’s quite possible we’re wrong about this, too.

The news release makes it clear this isn’t just your run-of-the-mill topless revue, as the show “combines ‘sexpertise’ with acrobats, aerialists, dancers, contortionists, comedians, hand balancers and more, while transporting audiences into a fully immersive sensual experience.”

That explains the guy with the porn stache.

So, it’s a topless “Absinthe,” apparently.

Which is not a bad thing, despite the baffled look on the face of our sexual organ.

Try and unsee that.

Despite our judgy tone, we look forward to seeing “Rouge,” despite the fact its official name is “Rouge: The Sexiest Show in Vegas.” That’s a longshot, thanks largely to “Chippendales” and “Fantasy.” But a lofty goal, so have at it, “Rouge.”

“Rouge” performs Tuesday through Sunday at 10:00 p.m., dark Monday, with an additional show on Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. Tickets start at $49. Guests must be 18 or older.
