Caspian’s Cocktails & Caviar Shares Renderings and Deets
First, don’t hate for us keeping pace with our fellow youths and their parlance. “Deets” is the new “details.” Either keep up or get out of the way.
Caspian’s Cocktails & Caviar, the much-anticipated replacement for Cleopatra’s Barge at Caesars Palace, is opening in December 2024 and the new venue just dropped some sweet renderings.
According to Caspian’s, “The hip music lounge throws refinement out the window, mixing rock ‘n’ roll swagger with top-shelf cocktails, live shows and unforgettable nights.” News releases gonna news release. Here’s a look at what’s in the works at Caesars Palace.
Mere days ago, we shared what the former Cleopatra’s Barge space looked like, basically an empty box.
Here’s more about the venue: “Crafted by the award-winning team at Celano Design Studio Co., Caspian’s design is an Art Deco masterpiece, blending Parisian roots with golden accents, oversized couches and vibrant colors. The 16-foot ceiling is crowned with a stunning chandelier, illuminating the space with a mix of sea-inspired hues and glimmering gold. The 1,100-square-foot cocktail lounge will seat 50 guests, while the 2,300-square-foot live music speakeasy will accommodate nearly 100.”
Translation: Fancy.
Caspian’s comes from Clique Hospitality, the folks behind The Barbershop and Clique Bar at Cosmo, Gatsby’s at Resorts World, Tailgate Social at Palace Station, the Proper Eats Food Hall at Aria and other venues.
The decor is obviously beautiful, and the only red flag we’ve seen so far is related to karaoke nights on Thursdays.
According to the news release, “A hidden entrance behind a picturesque caviar bar will reveal a rock ‘n’ roll sanctuary where electrifying performances by top touring musicians will light up the stage nightly. Every Thursday, fans will be invited to take the mic and rock out with a full band in true rockstar fashion.”
So, think Easys Cocktail Lounge at the aforementioned Proper Eats Food Hall, except for the unbearable caterwauling of drunk tourists on Thursdays.
If the whole caviar vibe has felt a smidge snooty up to this point, Caspian’s is putting your concerns to rest with the following photo we could not love more.
Here’s what the news release says, “The caviar bar brings a cool European vibe with sleek onyx and pearl accents. Top-shelf chilled vodkas perfectly complement the caviar collection and bites like Caspian’s Chips & Dip, pairing Kaluga caviar with house-made French onion dip, chives and Pringles. Other highlights include crispy potato latkes with creme fraiche and caviar, and caviar waffles topped with chives, creme fraiche and sturgeon caviar. Pairings include ‘The Whale,’ two ounces of Imperial Golden Osetra caviar complemented by a bottle of Dom Perignon; and ‘The Royal Flight,’ six vodka shots paired with six caviar bumps.”
While we are not a caviar person, and we don’t recognize most of those words, this all sounds like a great night out, honestly.
The cocktails won’t be cheap, of course, but The Strip isn’t a value destination anymore, it’s all about experiences.
Here’s the cocktail lowdown: “Caspian’s cocktail menu is a celebration of bold flavors that channel rock ‘n’ roll vibes. The Ruby Riff is a playful blend of vanilla vodka, passion fruit syrup, lime juice, cream, and bitters, served in a champagne glass for a touch of class; and Forbidden Fruit is a daring mix of blanco tequila, cilantro, apricot preserve and lemon juice. For the purists, Caspian’s classics include the Dirty Ass Martini, a briny, bold vodka martini served with green olives, and the ever-smooth Negroni, featuring Monkey 47 gin, Campari and sweet vermouth. Any cocktail can be taken to the next level with caviar-stuffed olives.”
Clique does a great job with creative cocktails at its Cosmopolitan lounge, so expect more of the same at Caspian’s.
Live music isn’t our preferred lounge vibe, but lots of people seem to like it.
The cocktail lounge at Caspian’s will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. daily, with the kitchen closing at 10: p.m. The live music speakeasy will be open from 8:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. from Tuesday to Saturday. See you at Caspian’s on Sundays and Mondays!
Note: The official Caspian’s site has a tab for a “Blog,” which is a terrible, terrible idea. But bless their hearts for trying.
