Flippin’ Good Burgers & Shakes Nears Completion, Here’s a First Look Inside
The long-awaited Flippin’ Good Burgers & Shakes restaurant on Fremont East in downtown Las Vegas is set to open Aug. 29, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.
Here’s a first peek inside the new burger joint.
The place has come a long way since our last security breach.
Flippin’ Good Burgers opens in the space formerly occupied by Uncle Joe’s Pizza and Kabob Korner, two longtime downtown fixtures.
Owners Keith Grossman and Andrew Donner have a stellar pedigree. They’re the ones who opened the excellent Triple George Grill across from Downtown Grand.
The restaurant is fairly compact, seating about 75 people. There are counters, booths and tables.
The burgers and fries are expected to be the stars of the show. The owners boast there’s no freezer in the kitchen, and no microwave.
Flippin’ Good Burgers will also serve frozen custard in the form of shakes, cones, malts and concretes, whatever those might be.
The restaurant will be open until 11:00 p.m. week nights and later on the weekends, as business necessitates. (Translation: Closing time will directly correlate to overall cases of drunchies on Fremont Street.)
Construction of Flippin’ Good Burgers & Shakes has taken a couple of months longer than expected, but we’re thinking that after that first bite of slider and first lick of frozen custard cone, all will be forgiven.
