New Kids on the Block Announce 2025 Vegas Residency

New Kids on the Block (NKOTB), a boy band phenomenon in the late ’80s and early ’90s has announced a Las Vegas residency for 2025.

In related news, a significant number of middle-aged ovaries just exploded.

NKOTB’s residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM, runs June 2 through July 5 and November 1-15, 2025. The residency will be called, “The Right Stuff,” because everything has to be political now.

New Kids on the Block are neither kids nor new. Discuss.

Here are the show dates for New Kids on the Block at Park MGM in 2025: June 20, 21, 25, 27, 28; July 2, 3, 5; Nov. 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 12, 14, 15.

If you haven’t heard of New Kids on the Block, you may be a grandparent or Russian spy.

According to a the news release, the group has sold more than 80 million albums worldwide, including back-to-back international number one songs, 1988’s “Hangin’ Tough” and 1990’s “Step By Step.”

Other hits include “You Got It (The Right Stuff),” “Cover Girl,” “Didn’t I (Blow Your Mind This Time),” “I’ll Be Loving You,” “Let’s Try It Again,” “If You Go Away” and “Tonight.”

New Kids on the Block was personally responsible for an estimated 26.4 million sexual awakenings in 1989. Backstreet Boys, NSYNC and Boyz II Men picked up the slack.

No announcement of a Las Vegas residency would be complete with someone in PR sliding in a gem like this, “The NKOTB are thrilled to stage their first ever residency at this state-of-the-art venue, promising a production fully unique to Las Vegas, and designed to immerse attendees in a heart pounding night of hits, spectacle, celebration and showmanship.”

Hey, they didn’t say “immersive,” exactly.

Today we learned die-hard New Kids on the Block fans are called “Blockheads.” We aren’t sure that word means what they think it means.

Unlike a lot of groups doing residencies in Las Vegas, New Kids on the Block has all its original members: Siblings Jonathan and Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood.

The group’s live shows actually get positive reviews. The guys, now in their 50s, aren’t quite as peppy as they were in their heyday 30 years ago, but who is?

New Kids on the Block shows have the distinct fragrance of, “We need the money,” but that doesn’t take away from the group’s undeniable retro appeal and cavalcade of memories for legions of Blockheads.

Comedic premise! Update “New Kids on the Block” songs to reflect the passage of time: “Step by Wobbly Step,” “Didn’t I (Forget Where My Keys Are),” “You Got It (The Osteoporosis Stuff),” “Hangin’ Irritable,” “I’ll Be Loving You (Despite the Erectile Dysfunction),” “Let’s Try It Again (Didn’t You See the E.D. Reference),” “If You Go Away at Least You’ll Be Off My Lawn.”

Somebody had to do it.
