Strip Club Offers Genius Anti-F1 Promotion
A Las Vegas strip club, Crazy Horse 3, has come up with a brilliant promotion to show its rightful contempt for F1’s Las Vegas Grand Prix fiasco.
The strip club is hosting an “Anti-Race Weekend” celebration on Nov. 23, a direct jab at F1’s clusterfuckery, scheduled for November 21–23, 2024, despite our best efforts.
Sorry about the rough language, Mom, but somebody has to tell it like it is.
While the Crazy Horse 3 promotion is directed at locals, it’s not really about the thing itself, it’s about the sentiment.
F1’s takeover of The Strip has harmed the vast majority of businesses in Las Vegas, not just during the three-day event, but in the months leading up to it.
Several businesses are suing F1 for their millions of dollars in losses due to disruptions caused by the race and preparations for it.
Some of the businesses suing F1 include Ellis Island casino, Ferraro’s Ristorante, Battista’s Hole in the Wall restaurant and Stage Door Casino.
As for the Crazy Horse 3 “Anti-Race Weekend” party, guests with a Nevada I.D. get free entry, a free buffet and open bar on Nov. 23, 2024.
If you aren’t local, you only get to see hundreds of beautiful, scantily-clad women who will sit on your lap and pretend you’re interesting for a few paltry dollars. Poor you.
The Crazy Horse 3 party starts at 9:00 p.m., the open bar runs from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
From the news release: “Crazy Horse 3’s Anti-Race Weekend celebration provides the perfect opportunity for locals to partake in the thrilling atmosphere while avoiding Strip closures and traffic jams.”
This is what it’s come to. Strip clubs are the sane ones. Casinos building grandstands in front of iconic photo ops, public officials bending over for a handful of casinos who benefit from the race, months of road rage, that’s somehow the acceptable norm now.
Downtown casinos were so pissed off by the F1 disaster, they invented an entire music festival as counter-programming, the Neon City Festival. That’s scheduled Nov. 22-24, 2024. Again, right on top of F1’s race.
Yes, we reluctantly admit we broke the story the Neon City Festival was happening, but not everything has to be about us. It’s actually quite a burden to have to keep talking about how much the Las Vegas Review-Journal sucks.
Oh, LFG. Tomorrow, the LVCVA approves a million-dollar sponsorship of the inaugural Neon City Festival, which will take place downtown during the 2024 Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand
Prix weekend, Nov. 22-24, 2024. Bonus: The Neon City Festival will be free. More to come. https://t.co/oA9K5hDWsu— Vital Vegas (@VitalVegas) July 8, 2024
Anyway, boobies.
Our only issue with the Crazy Horse 3 promotion is they’re still sort of caving to this Las Vegas Grand Prix nonsense: “For those still interested in catching the Big Race, there will be live racing coverage on the club’s 30, 100-inch flat screens TVs complete with surround sound.”
If you’re hosting a protest party, ban anything vroom-vroom-related.
We’d love to see more Las Vegas businesses taking the lead of the Neon City Festival and Crazy Horse 3 with remonstrance events aimed at the non-consensual F1 commandeering of our beloved Las Vegas Strip for its dopey race that helps the rich get richer but hurts far more than it helps.
