Security Breach: Steve Wynn’s Something Very Special
Las Vegas is like a shark. It has to keep moving, or it’ll die. That means Las Vegas has to keep the surprises coming, and it always manages to do just that.
Steve Wynn isn’t one to rest on his laurels, and from the look of the atrium area in the Wynn Las Vegas lobby, he’s got some surprises on the way.
These construction walls seem to have sprung up overnight. This blog loves it some construction walls.
Here’s another angle.
How do we know there’s something special on the way? Because Steve Wynn says so, that’s how.
One more look before we breach security and see what’s behind the walls.
We snooped around, and got some unconfirmed scoop about what’s coming. Apparently, this is the third time in the last nine years that the atrium area has undergone a significant retooling. There are two areas being improved, one on each end of the hotel’s atrium area.
Here’s a peek behind the wall, through the only opening.
Like we said, this work is rather new, so there’s more tearing down than building up at this point. What’s being built? We hear there are going to be two art pieces. One will be an air balloon (in the space shown in the above photo).
On the other end of the atrium, we hear there’s going to be a replica of The Strip’s new High Roller Ferris wheel. Here’s the wall. Did we not mention how much we like construction walls?
We expect the new additions to the Wynn Las Vegas atrium will be executed with the Wynn’s usual flair, including enough flowers to give a team of horticulturists hernias.
We were assured the atrium’s famed ficus trees, more than 50 years old, will be unaffected by the new construction.
Wynn’s atrium is a great free thing to see in Las Vegas, and it should be even better soon. We look forward to whatever Steve Wynn has up his perfectly-tailored sleeves.
