Tournament Rules

1. Seating is random.
2. Seat 1 has the button when the tournaments starts.
3. The tournament ends when there is one player left with all the chips. If the tournament is a satellite there might be more than 1 winner, if so, the tournament ends when the predetermined number of winners remain.
4. If players get eliminated in the same hand, the player with most chips at the time, will be placed higher. If the players have the same amount of chips, they will share the place and winnings.
5. Replay Poker uses the "forward moving button" rule, as a consequence players may receive the button two times in a row. After each hand the button is moved clockwise to the small blind.
6. When two players are left the button will post the small blind, and act first.
7. Disconnects.
   1. Replay Poker cannot accept responsibility for a player disconnecting from the game, except for a server crash.
   2. Disconnected players will automatically sit out. They will fold/check and post blinds and antes.
8. Unethical play, such as soft play, that is, failing to bet or raise in a situation that would normally merit it, to avoid costing another friend chips; whipsawing, where friends raise and re-raise each other to trap players in between; dumping, where a cheater will deliberately lose to a friend; and * signaling*, or trading information between friends via signals of some sort, will result in chip deduction, account suspension and/or cancellation.
9. Table balancing may occur during tournament play. Table balancing is random and may result in players posting the big blind two times in a row. When the same number of players as seats at the table remain in a tournament, these players are brought together to the final table.
10. Prizes will be awarded according to the details in the tournament lobby.
11. If a server crash occurs each player's chip count will be reset to the amount at the beginning of the hand.
12. Players and spectators are expected to use the chat feature in a polite manner.
13. Players that are still in the tournament may not discuss their hands until that hand is over. Discussing cards discarded or hand possibilities is not permitted.
14. Should there be any dispute between players, the outcome decided by Replay Poker staff will be final in all cases without exception.

Tournament Points

Tournament points are calculated using the following formula:
(1000*(Math.sqrt(n)/Math.sqrt(k))*(1+Math.log10(b))).ceil

Where *n=number of participants, **k=position in tournament, and b=amount of buy in.*

Say you placed 5th in a 10 person tournament with a 10,000 buy in. If you plug that into the formula it would look like this:
(1000*(Math.sqrt(10)/Math.sqrt(5))*(1+Math.log10(10000))).ceil

If you plugged this into a calculator you'd find the result is 7,086 points.

Tournament points are only awarded to players finishing in the top 50% (inclusive) of entrants, and who were present (not away) for at least 50% of the hands in their tournament.

Please note that when we calculate the rankings for the tournament toplists, we only sum your top 10 multi-table tournaments per week, top 20 per month, and top 100 per year.

Multi-Table Tournaments

Start at predetermined times.

Sit & Go Tournaments

Start as soon as the pre-determined number of players are seated.

Turbo Tournaments

Blinds and levels increase much faster than regular tournaments. For example, instead of level increases every 12 minutes, the levels increase every 3 minutes.

Bounty Tournaments

Players receive a bounty prize for knocking out other players.

Satellite Tournaments

The top finishers of a satellite get "15K Tournament Tickets" that can be used to register for a seat in select tournaments that run daily. 15K Tickets are valid for 90 days before they expire.

Rebuy Tournaments

Players have a chance to add the amount of starting chips again, for a fee, after losing all their chips (or dropping below a certain number of chips).

This is permitted during the rebuy period. The rebuy period usually lasts 1 hour. After the rebuy period has ended, players may get the opportunity to make an add-on. The add-on gives a player a one time chips add-on, often more than the starting chips.

Shoot-Out Tournaments

Don't use an automatic table balance. Instead players stay at the same table until the table winner moves on to the final table. At the final table the winner is determined as usual.

Guaranteed Tournaments

These tournaments run throughout the day and feature a guaranteed prize pool. This means that the prize pool won't ever be lower than the specified amount, regardless of the number of participants in the tournament.
